Why Do Competitors Cap At 60Hz or 144Hz?

Standard websites listen to mousemove events, which modern Chromium and WebKit engines sync to the monitor's display refresh rate (V-Sync). To measure a 1000Hz or 8000Hz mouse accurately, Mouse Tests extracts the hardware micro-samples bundled inside PointerEvent.getCoalescedEvents(), revealing every single USB packet reported by the sensor.

Not Hitting Your Advertised Polling Rate?

Mice only transmit reports when physically moving. Slow movement yields fewer updates; make sure to swipe quickly. Additionally, plugging into a front-panel USB hub or 2.4GHz wireless dongle interference can cause packet dropouts. Plug directly into your motherboard's rear USB 3.0 port.
